Curriculum Vitae

Artist Statement

My concentration is in both oil painting and drawing, following the realist tradition. I work primarily in charcoal and oils in an indirect method. I have a soft, representational style with an emphasis on still lifes, the portrait and figure. I want to emulate both the sensitivity of flesh and the spirit of my subjects, to create works that permeate their surface and resound emotionally with the viewer.
